"Unweaving the Cosmos" Exhibition, Waseda Culture & Art Week 2026

From October 10 to 15, 2026, the exhibition "Unweaving the Cosmos" was held at the Waseda Gallery (B1F, Ono Memorial Hall) as part of Waseda Culture & Art Week 2026. Organized by the Waseda Institute for Advanced Study (WIAS) and co-organized by WaSC, the exhibition welcomed 152 visitors.

Taking as its starting point Richard P. Feynman's remark that if we look at a glass of wine closely enough, we see the entire universe, the exhibition drew on interviews with 11 researchers at Waseda University, in fields ranging from astronomy and archaeology to literature and theoretical physics. Each researcher's invisible world of research was translated into a small everyday object, inviting visitors to see the universe through many different eyes.

On the opening day, two gallery talks were held with members of the production team from Shiseido Co., Ltd. and Hakuten Corporation.
